About Me

I’m Erika, pictured above are the 4 loves of my life: My sweet hubby, Nathan, our precious son, Lucas, our baby girl, Katelynn, and our hilarious Chihuahua, Jack. We love the sunshine in our little neck of San Diego, California.

We rent a house on a horse ranch… It’s an adventure, let me tell ya! But we adore it. A family of chickens scratch along in our front yard while I have my coffee every morning. I watch the rooster, who we named Rusty, crow and keep watch over his family of 1 hen and 17 chicks who are almost grown up now. I giggle at the mothering hen, who’s name is Roxy, clucking and pecking along with chicks crowded all around her legs.  We hear crickets every evening and hoof beats throughout the day. We have quirky and kind neighbors and two whole yards for our son to romp and play in.

I love everything DIY and the satisfaction of taking something old and transforming it into something new; adding new life to old things or creating something totally unique from something unexpected.

I have an Etsy shop that I like to fill with my handmade jewelry creations.

I love food and the way it brings us together at the table each night…even if that table is the coffee table.

Our little family is abundantly blessed. My children bring me such joy and I love every bit of motherhood….even the spit up on my shirt, ok maybe not the spit up on my shirt. My husband is my very own Prince Charming, complete with cheesy pick up lines, sparkling blue eyes, and an easy smile. He makes me laugh everyday and encourages me to be the creative, and slightly chaotic, person that I am.

This blog is a little part of me; a place to unwind, to be excited, to share highs and lows, to make friends, and to offer encouragement. I hope you’ll pull up a chair and share in it all with me!

Blessings,

Erika
